The SMI-X is the control and monitoring module for the HSM-X modular system.
It features a few LEDs for a quick overview of the modules state (power supply, ready to operate (boot done), network connection & IP conflicts, general configuration error)
Its most basic settings are done via CLI on the RS232 terminal SUB-D9 connector.
It has an alarm relay SUB-D9 connector for monitoring of the two power supplies and the state of the SMI-X (not running or no network connection error).
The 100Base-T Ethernet connection enables you to control the SMI-X and the HSM-X standard protocols like HTTP and SNMP.
